Instructions
Making Homemade Food
Cook the lean meat by frying, boiling or steaming. Once the meat is cooked, remove from heat and drain excess fat.
Add the mashed potato and cooked rice. Stir to combine. Then add the barley and oatmeal. Again, stir to combine.
Stir the grated carrot, chopped vegetables and olive oil into the meat mixture.
Allow the puppy food to cool, then transfer it to an airtight container (or containers) for storage. Refrigerate the food, using it all within three to five days.
Feeding Your Puppy
Fill your puppy's water and food dishes. Place the dishes on the floor for your puppy. If your puppy is not already waiting, bring him to the dishes.
Allow your puppy to eat as much food as he wants within 15 minutes, then remove the food dish. Leave the water dish down at all times, allowing your puppy constant access to clean, fresh water.
Discard any leftover food and wash the food dish so that it is clean for the next use.
Feed your puppy using this procedure three times daily.
