Mint Dog Treat Recipes

  1. Mint Dog Bone Ingredients

    • Unfortunately, dogs often have somewhat strong breath, but you can freshen it with a minty dog bone. The process is quite simple and adding mint and parsley to the recipe will help freshen their breath. You will need a tablespoon of vegetable oil, a cup of water, 2 1/2 cups of dry oatmeal, 2 tablespoons of fresh mint, one-third cup of diced parsley, and one-quarter teaspoon of finely chopped garlic.

    • Mix the wet ingredients together first, and then slowly fold in the dry ingredients until the mixture is a smooth consistency. Roll the dough out and cut in to any shapes you choose, although a bone is typical. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake until hard, about 35 minutes.

    • You will need 1¼ cups of the following: flour, whole wheat, cornmeal, and rolled oats Obtain half a cup of toasted wheat germ and brown sugar. You will also need 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, three-quarters of a cup of cold (unsalted) butter, a cup of water, a half-cup of chopped parsley and mint, and one large egg.

You can create about 6-inch discs that are about one-third inch thick, and then cut out biscuits. Create an egg wash, scramble the egg, and cover the surface of the discs. Bake in a 350-degree oven for about 35 minutes.
