  1. Chicken and Yogurt Biscuit Recipe

    • Bake some healthy chicken biscuits with yogurt to treat your dog. Dissolve 1 tablespoon (one packet) of yeast in 1 quarter cup of warm water. Combine 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup of soy flour, 1/2 cup of rice flour, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of finely chopped parsley. In a separate bowl, mix a 1/4 cup of plain yogurt with 1 cup of chicken stock. Add the yeast to the yogurt and chicken stock and then add this to the dry ingredients. Mix well and then knead the dough for several minutes. On a well-floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut and shape the biscuits with a cookie cutter or a knife before putting on an ungreased cookie sheet. Lightly glaze the biscuits with one beaten egg mixed with 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt. Bake them for 45 minutes at 300 degrees. Turn off the oven, but leave the treats in the oven to dry overnight.
