Ingredients
-
Low-fat recipes for dogs have to start with low-fat ingredients. Lean ground beef, beef kidney, beef liver and skinless chicken breasts are good meats to use. Low-fat cottage cheese, egg whites, rice, barley, cabbage and sweet potatoes are also recommended for a low-fat diet. Never give a dog onions, grapes, chocolate, salt or unbaked yeast dough. These foods are unsafe for dogs and some can lead to death. Always check with your veterinarian before changing you dog's diet.
