Dog Food Treat Recipe

    • Use ingredients that are human grade food to make these recipes.     Beef Dog Food Treat Recipes

    • Combine 7 oz. of beef baby food, 1/4 cup of nonfat dry milk powder and 1/2 cup of wheat germ together in a bowl. Use your hands to roll into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with your thumb. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. This will make approximately 24 dog food treats.

    Peanut Butter Dog Food Treat Recipe

    • Make some peanut butter treats, and you will see that dogs love peanut butter as much as kids do. Mix together 1 cup of whole wheat flour, 1 cup of rolled oats and 1 tbsp. of baking powder in a bowl. Combine 1 cup of peanut butter and 1 cup of milk in a large bowl until well mixed. Add the dry ingredients and stir to mix. The dough will be stiff. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface and then roll out to 1/4-inch thick. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake the dog treats at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and store in an airtight container.

    Chicken Liver Dog Food Treat Recipe

    • Place 1 lb. of chicken livers and 6 cloves of garlic into a food processor. Pulse until pureed. Add 1 cup of cornmeal, 1 cup of oatmeal and 2 eggs to the mixture and pulse to blend. Pour mixture onto a greased cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes. Flip it over half way through cooking. Remove when done and cut into squares. Cool and store these dog food treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
