How to make homemade DOG BONES

if your dog loves dog biscuits, it may become an expensive hobby. However, by making the dog bones at home, you not only save money, but create healthy treats for your dog. The key is to bake the treats long enough that they are crunchy for your dog. This makes it more fun for them to eat. They last longer and your dog will enjoy them more as a result.

  • 1/2 cup powdered milk
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

    • 1

Mix the butter, water, milk and beaten egg in a bowl. Add the flour a bit at a time and keep mixing by hand.

    • 2

Mix until the dough is thickened and fully mixed. When you have a thick dough, drop it onto a floured board or clean counter top. Roll out the dough until it's about 1/2 inch thick using a rolling pin, hard plastic cup or a very strong glass jar like a pickle jar.

    • 3

Cut out the bones. Use a bone shaped cookie cutter or any shape cookie cutter or just cut the dough into strips or squares or triangles.

    • 4

Place the biscuits on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes and let them cool. Store them in a paper bag or in an old cereal box so they do not build up moisture and stay rock hard.
