How To Make Your Own Dog Gravy for Dog Food

Things You'll Need

  • Liver gravy ingredients:
  • 1 lb Chicken or beef livers
  • 1/2 c Milk
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • Beef drippings gravy ingredients:
  • 1/4 c Wheat flour
  • 1/2 c Pan drippings
  • 3 c Water
  • 1/2 c Peanut butter
  • Potato masher or food processor

Instructions

  1. Chicken or beef liver gravy

      Boil chicken or beef livers until they are cooked and no longer pink inside.

      Mash with a potato masher in a medium bowl, or use a food processor.

      Combine milk, livers and olive oil until blended.

      Let cool before serving to your dog, and store unused gravy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for no longer than three to four days.

    Pan drippings gravy

      Use a saucepan to heat the drippings.

      Add the flour a little at a time, stirring constantly. Cook until browned.

      Add the water and peanut butter slowly while stirring then cook until blended and thickened.
