How to Make Dog Treats Using Baby Food

Your dog is like a child to you. You coddle him, cuddle him, care for his health, make sure he is happy, and most of all, you love him. In return, he greets you at the door with kisses and a wagging tail, even if you only walked out to the mailbox. Since your pooch is so much like your baby, why not feed him baby food? In the form of treats, that is.

  • Three 2.5-ounce jars baby food
  • 1/4 cup Cream Of Wheat

Instructions

    • 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

    • 2

Pour baby food into a medium bowl. You can use three jars of the same flavor, or mix two flavors that you think your dog would enjoy.

    • 3

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Knead by hand into a ball. Dump onto a floured surface.

    • 4

Roll dough into a quarter-inch thickness. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters or slice with a knife or pizza cutter and place onto greased cookie sheets. Alternatively, you can scoop spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet and press down with a fork in a crisscross pattern.

    • 5

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Store in an airtight container.
