Things You'll Need
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- Large mixing bowl
- 1/2 cup soy flour
- 2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 tbsp. chopped alfalfa sprouts
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp. pure honey
- 1/2 cup water
- Baking sheet, oiled
- Paring knife or cookie cutter
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Mix 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup soy flour, 2 tbsp. of nutritional yeast, 1/4 tsp. of garlic powder and 3 tbsp. of chopped alfalfa sprouts in a large mixing bowl.
Stir in 1 cup cooked brown rice, 3 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil and 2 tbsp. of pure honey and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup of water and mix until the ingredients combine well. Add a few more drops of water if the dough is too crumbly.
Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it to 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut the alfalfa treats into approximately 2 1/2-inch circular shapes with a cookie cutter or paring knife. Put the alfalfa treats on an oiled baking sheet and bake them for 25 minutes and allow them to cool on a wire rack. The treats will get harder as they cool.
