Instructions

    • 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

    • 2

Place 1/2 cup of molasses, 2 tbsp. of honey, 1/2 cup of water and 1/4 cup of olive oil in a mixing bowl.

    • 3

Combine 3 cups of all purpose flour, 1/4 cup of oat bran, 1 tsp. baking soda and 2 tsp. of ground ginger in a separate mixing bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the molasses mixture with a wooden spoon.

    • 4

Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it to 1/4 inch thickness with a rolling pin.

    • 5

Cut the dough into shapes with a cookie cutter or a paring knife, and put them on an oiled baking sheet.

    • 6

Bake the molasses dog treats for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they turn brown around the edges.

    • 7

Remove the molasses dog treats from the oven and put them on a wire rack to cool and harden. Store the treats in an airtight container. They will keep longer if your store them in the refrigerator.
