Instructions

    • 1

Place 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup of all purpose white flour and 1 1/2 cups powdered milk in a large mixing bowl and stir to mix.

    • 2

Add 3/4 cup of chicken or beef broth and 1 chopped garlic clove.

    • 3

Break 1 large egg in a small bowl and beat it lightly with a fork. Add the beaten egg to the other ingredients and stir until it's completely blended. The dough should be thick enough to roll. If it's too thick to handle, add a bit of water or broth. If it's too thin, increase the whole wheat flour slightly.

    • 4

Place the batter on a lightly floured surface and pat or roll it to a thickness of 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch. Make thinner biscuits for small dogs and larger biscuits for larger dogs.

    • 5

Put the biscuits on a microwaveable plate, in a single layer, and cook them for three minutes. Check them, then cook them for one minute at a time until they're firm.

    • 6

Remove the microwave dog biscuits from the microwave oven and allow them to harden as they cool.
