  • Commercial puppy formula
  • Whole milk (cow or goat)
  • Evaporated milk
  • Egg yolks
  • Corn oil
  • Liquid vitamins
  • Karo syrup
  • Boiled or sterile baby water
  • Plain full-fat yogurt
  • Sterilized puppy bottles and nipples

Instructions

      Combine 1 cup of goat's milk, two raw egg yolks, 2 tbsp. of Karo syrup and one dropper of liquid vitamins. Stir thoroughly. Use the formula immediately or refrigerate it for up to two days.

      Combine 1/2 cup of evaporated milk, 1/2 cup of sterilized water, 1 tbsp. of Karo syrup, 2 tbsp. of whole-fat yogurt, one dropper of liquid vitamins and two raw egg yolks in a blender. Blend until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Use immediately or refrigerate until needed. Use this formula for puppies who need long-term bottle feeding.

      Make sure the hole in the nipple is big enough to allow formula to pass through but small enough that the pup does not aspirate the milk.

      Stimulate the puppy to ensure she is using the bathroom. Dampen a cotton ball with warm water and gently rub over the abdomen and genital area after every feeding.
