Instructions

    • 1

Prepare the vegetables. Wash all the vegetables well. Remove the ends and tails from the carrots and peel them. Also peel the potatoes.

    • 2

Cut the vegetables into chunks. If you have a small dog, cut fairly small chunks. Larger chunks are fine for bigger dogs.

    • 3

Put the oil in the stockpot. Set it on the stove and let it get hot. Add the meat. Stir the beef to brown it.

    • 4

Pour in the broth. Heat to boiling.

    • 5

Add the vegetables to the stockpot. Stir the meat and vegetables together. Cover loosely with a lid. Lower the heat and let the dog food stew simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender. Stir occasionally. Add water if necessary.

    • 6

Turn off the stew. Let it cool so your dog can enjoy it.

    • 7

Pack any stew that remains into glass quart jars. You can freeze this treat or you can put it in the refrigerator if your dog can eat it all in a couple days.
