How to Make Your Dog Homemade Biscuits

When it comes to training dogs or telling them that they've been good, nothing gets the message across quite as clearly as a tasty treat. Dog biscuits make for excellent portable treats, but store-bought treats aren't always what you have in mind. Instructions

    • 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the wheat flour and the white flour together in one of the bowls. Mix the peanut butter, water and vegetable oil in the other bowl, then add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture one cup at a time. Mix until there's a firm consistency and then let the dough sit for about 10 minutes.

    • 2

Put the dough on the wax paper and knead it thoroughly. Spread it into an even layer about 1/4 inch thick, then use the cookie cutter to cut biscuits from the dough. Place the biscuits on the cookie sheet and continue kneading and cutting the dough until you have the desired number of biscuits. Lightly poke at each biscuit with a fork to allow steam to vent during cooking.

    • 3

Bake the biscuits until they're hard (about 25 minutes). Allow them to cool before feeding them to your dog.
