- Kitten
- Bottle of kitten milk replacement (KMR)
- Kitten feeding bottle or eyedropper
- Soft towel or blanket
Step 2: Create a Comfortable Position
- Gently wrap the kitten in a towel or blanket to support its body. This will also help keep the kitten warm.
Step 3: Position the Kitten's Head
- Hold the kitten upright with its head slightly higher than its body. This will help prevent milk from going into the kitten's lungs.
Step 4: Place the Bottle Nipple in the Kitten's Mouth
- If using a kitten feeding bottle, place the nipple in the kitten's mouth. Make sure that the nipple is not too big for the kitten's mouth, or it may cause the kitten to choke.
- If using an eyedropper, gently insert the tip of the eyedropper into the kitten's mouth.
Step 5: Let the Kitten Drink
- Allow the kitten to drink slowly. Do not force the kitten to drink more than it wants.
Step 6: Burp the Kitten
- After the kitten has finished drinking, gently burp it by holding it upright and gently patting its back. This will help prevent gas pain.
Step 7: Clean the Kitten
- Wipe the kitten's face and neck with a damp cloth to remove any milk residue.
