Does a fisher cat eat domestic cats?

Fisher cats (Pekania pennanti) are predators and have been known to prey on a wide variety of small animals, including domestic cats. Although fisher cats typically hunt rodents, rabbits, and other small mammals, they have also been known to attack and eat domestic cats, especially if they are hungry or if the cats are in their territory. Fisher cats are opportunistic predators and will take advantage of any easy prey they can find, regardless of whether it is wild or domestic.
