When do caribou eat?
Caribou feed throughout the day, but their peak feeding times are in the early morning and late evening. They are opportunistic feeders, and their diet varies depending on the season and location. In the winter, caribou eat lichens, mosses, and other plants that they can find under the snow. In the spring, they eat new plant growth and the leaves of shrubs. In the summer, they eat a variety of plants, including grasses, flowers, and berries. In the fall, they eat mushrooms and other fungi. Caribou are also known to eat fish, insects, and even small rodents.
