Do cats have digits on feet?

Cats don't have digits on their feet in the same way that humans do. Instead, they have toes and claws.

Here's why:

* "Digit" usually refers to a finger or toe on humans and other primates.

* "Toe" is the correct term for the flexible, movable part of a cat's foot.

* "Claw" is the sharp, retractable nail on each toe.

So, while cats have four toes on each of their back feet and five toes on each of their front feet, they don't technically have digits.
