Where was the invention by Percy Shaw - cats eyes originally trialled?

Percy Shaw's invention, the "cat's eyes" road reflectors, were first trialled on a stretch of road near his home in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England.

He observed that cars were having trouble navigating the road at night due to the lack of proper reflective markings. This led him to develop the "cat's eyes" which were initially made from two pieces of glass set into a metal casing, with a reflective surface.
