How to Hold a Kitten

Kittens need proper socializing and handling so that they grow up to be cats that are a pleasure to own. Kittens grow up in litters, so they are used to feeling the warmth of another kitten next to them. This will make your kitten feel safe and secure. By using your body warmth and smell while holding the kitten, you will enable the kitten to bond with you more quickly. Young children tend to squeeze small animals when they hold them. Teach any children that will be in contact with the kitten, how to properly hold a kitten.
