Instructions

  1. Lint Brush

    • 1

Lay the blanket flat on your bed. Laying it on the ground will likely just add more cat hair.

    • 2

Wipe a lint brush across the blanket to remove the cat hair.

    • 3

Flip the blanket over and repeat this process on the other side of the blanket.

    Masking Tape

    • 4

Lay the blanket flat on your bed.

    • 5

Put on a rubber glove to protect your hand from the masking tape.

    • 6

Wrap masking tape around the glove with the sticky side of the tape facing out. Continue wrapping until most of the glove is covered in tape.

    • 7

Press down on the blanket with the taped hand, working in sections, to pick up any cat hair.

    • 8

Flip the blanket over and repeat this process on the other side of the blanket.

    Drying With Dryer Sheets

    • 9

Check the washing information on the blanket's tag to make sure it is safe for the washer and dryer.

    • 10

Wash the blanket following the manufacturer's instructions for water temperature.

    • 11

Add fabric softener sheets to the dryer when drying the blanket. This will break down the static electricity charge that holds the cat hair to the blanket.
