Things You'll Need
- Paper towel
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Liquid dish soap
- Vacuum cleaner
- Scrub brush
Instructions
Place layers of paper towel on top of a recent cat urine or spray stain. Apply enough paper towel to absorb all the liquid.
Mix a solution of one part water and one part vinegar, and pour enough to fully saturate the stained area.
Leave the area alone until it appears dry. Blot up any residual moisture with paper towel.
Cover the same area with baking soda.
Mix 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide with 1 tsp. liquid dish soap and drizzle a little at a time on top of the baking soda. Only add enough hydrogen peroxide mixture so that the baking soda can turn into a paste.
Scrub the area until the baking soda turns into a paste and has been worked into the carpet.
Vacuum up the baking soda once it is dry.
