There are many products available on the market that can remove the odor from your home, but it is also very easy to remove the offensive odor by using everyday household products. Absorb as much urine as you can by using paper towels at the source of the scent. After absorbing the urine, throw away the used paper towels.

Mix one part vinegar and one part water, then pour the mixture over the area affected by the urine. Again use paper towels, absorb the mixture as completely as you can. Then throw away the used paper towels.

    • 3

Mix one part cornstarch, one part baking soda, and one part vinegar. This will create a paste that you can then put on the area affected by the cat urine. Using a scrub brush, rub the paste into the affected area.

Absorb any remaining wetness or moisture by blotting with paper towels. Throw away the used paper towels.

Use a vacuum to make sure that everything left from the cornstarch and baking soda mixture is picked up.
