Instructions

Soak up as much of the urine as possible with paper towels. Blot the spot until no more urine transfers from the clothing to the paper towels.

    • 2

Fill a bucket with three parts hot water and one part white vinegar. Place the clothing into the bucket, and allow it to soak for at least 40 minutes. If the clothing is of a delicate material, soak in cold water.

    • 3

Launder the clothing as usual. Add 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, along with your regular amount of laundry detergent, to the water. If the clothing is white, skip the vinegar, and add 1/4 cup chlorine bleach.

Repeat this process again if the urine stain is still present. Add 2 cups baking soda to the wash load to further help remove the urine smell.
