Instructions

  1. How to Make a Portable Cat Tent

    • 1

Cut the medium weight fabric about 3 inches larger all around than the pillow. Wrap the fabric around the pillow and put into the bottom of the suitcase, tucking the ends in. The fabric is easily removable to wash.

    • 2

Cut the scarf into two equal-sized rectangles. If you have a rectangular scarf, cut it in half width-wise.

    • 3

Position one long side of one half of the scarf so that the corner is aligned with the bottom corner of the top of the suitcase. Staple along the edge of the scarf, attaching it along the inside rim of the suitcase lid. Continue until you reach two-thirds of the way around the front of the suitcase. Trim the scarf if needed. Repeat with the other half of the scarf along the opposite side of the suitcase lid, so that the scarf overlaps at the middle one-third of the front.

    • 4

Open the suitcase. Tuck the bottom edge of the scarf sides under the pillow, making an enclosed tent for your cat. Fold back the overlapped front ends to make an opening and tuck the bottoms of them under the pillow.
