How to Treat Cat Urine on the Lawn

Pet urine, whether from a cat or dog, can leave brown spots on the lawn where the urine has killed the grass. Fortunately, grass has a way of springing back with a little care. To maintain your lawn's color and vitality, the simplest solution is to wash or water down the urine immediately. If that doesn't help, try using lawn treatment products, like Lawn Spot Away or SpotGone.

Hose down the spot in which your cat urinated using plenty of water. Water to soak the ground then leave the water to soak deep into the roots, carrying away the urine.

Repeat with a second washing once the first has soaked into the ground. Thoroughly washing away the urine is the most important stage of preventing brown spots.

Spray on lawn treatments for removing brown spots due to urine. Lawn Spot Away and SpotGone are two such products.
