Things You'll Need
- borax
- water
- white vinegar
- paper towels
- cloth
Instructions
Wash any cat urine residue off the wall with a cloth soaked in disinfectant soap and warm water. Wring the cloth out so it is damp and use it to wash away any cat urine still present on the wall.
Mix a two-to-one solution of water and white vinegar to remove the odor of cat urine. Soak a cloth in the white vinegar solution and wipe the area that contains the urine streaks. Allow it to dry thoroughly. You may have to repeat this step a day later.
Do not forget to check the carpet beneath the urine streaks on the wall. It also could contain cat urine. Pat the carpet dry with paper towels or a dry cloth. Sprinkle with borax or baking soda to remove the smell. Allow to sit overnight. Vacuum the powder from the carpet the next day.
Consider having your cat checked out by your vet if he just recently started urinating around the house. Unlike dogs, cats are very easy to house-train. As long as they have a clean, accessible litter box, they will use it. Your cat may be sick or need to be fixed.
