- Clean towels
Instructions
Determine whether the place where the cat has urinated can be bleached without being ruined. If it is a fabric, check the tag. If no tag is present, try a tiny blot of bleach on a hidden area of material and see how the bleach affects it. If the material is a color other than white or a pattern, you may want to use oxygen bleach over chlorine bleach. Oxygen bleach is color-safe.
Mix 1 tbsp. dish soap and 1 tbsp. white vinegar with 2 cups water.
Dab the stain with the soap, vinegar and water mixture. Allow the mixture to sit for about five minutes.
Dry the spot using another clean towel.
Add bleach to the stain. Do so very carefully to avoid getting bleach on other parts of the material. You may want to use an eyedropper to do this. Allow the bleach to sit for a few minutes.
Dab the spot clean with a damp towel. Either air dry or dab dry with another clean, dry towel.
