How to Remove Cat Hair From Laundry

Removing cat hair from the laundry can be a difficult task regardless of the number or type of cats you own. Not only is pet fur difficult to remove, but it can also ruin the look of any outfit that comes out of the laundry.

Instructions

    • 1

Put your laundry in the dryer with a dryer sheet for 15 minutes set at the appropriate temperature cycle. The combination of the warm circulating air and the dryer sheet will remove cat hair from laundry quickly.

    • 2

Purchase a specialty lint roller from the store. Rub gently over your laundry to remove any cat hair. Remove each sticky sheet if it becomes overloaded with cat hair and looses its tackiness.

    • 3

Use masking tape rolled in a circle around your fingers with the sticky side out for a quick fix.

    • 4

Dampen a rubber glove and rub it over your dry laundry. Once the cat hair is removed, place the laundry in the dryer with a dryer sheet to remove any excess moisture.

    • 5

Purchase a reusable lint brush. Test a small area of fabric before using it on any garments in the laundry. Some lint brushes may be too abrasive for delicate garments.
