What is paralititan?
Paralititan is a genus of titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur that lived in what is now South America during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 million years ago. It was first described in 1998 based on fossilized remains found in the Province of Neuquén, Argentina. Paralititan is one of the largest dinosaurs known to have existed, with an estimated length of up to 28 metres (92 ft) and a weight of up to 20 tonnes (44,000 lb). It was a herbivore and is believed to have fed on low-growing vegetation such as ferns and cycads. Paralititan is closely related to other titanosaurian dinosaurs such as Puertasaurus and Argentinosaurus, and belongs to the family Lognkosauria. It is considered to be one of the most important dinosaur discoveries from South America.
