When do cats show signs that they are pregnant?

The most obvious sign of pregnancy in a cat is an enlarged abdomen. This will usually start to become noticeable around 3-4 weeks into the pregnancy. However, some cats may not show any signs of pregnancy until they are 6-8 weeks along.

Other signs of pregnancy in a cat include:

- Increased appetite

- Weight gain

- Lethargy

- Morning sickness (vomiting)

- Increased thirst

- Increased urination

- Nesting behaviour (looking for a place to give birth)

- Changes in behaviour (such as becoming more affectionate or clingy)

If you think your cat may be pregnant, it is important to take her to the vet for confirmation. The vet will be able to palpate her abdomen to feel for the kittens, and they may also recommend an ultrasound to get a more accurate look at the pregnancy.

Once your cat is confirmed pregnant, it is important to provide her with plenty of care and support. This includes providing her with a comfortable place to give birth, and making sure she has plenty of food and water. You should also avoid stress, and make sure she gets regular vet check-ups.
