Cats often get into places where they shouldn't be. In some cases having a cat in a certain area could be dangerous. Keeping cats from behind the stove is a safety measure for all. A cat may interfere with the electrical cord or the gas line used to operate the stove. There are a few deterrents that are effective in keeping cats away from potentially dangerous areas.
