Things You'll Need
- Chicken wire
- Animal repellent granules
- Motion-activated sprinkler system
- Ultrasonic outdoor cat deterrent
Instructions
Position bird feeders, nesting boxes and baths a distance of eight to 10 feet from vegetation and buildings that would allow cats to launch a sneak attack.
Place chicken wire around the bases of bird feeders, bird baths and the poles that you mount bird houses on. The wire must be at least four feet high to be effective.
Spread animal repellant granules around areas where cats tend to hide when stalking birds.
Install a motion-activated sprinkler system to frighten away approaching felines.
Invest in an ultrasonic outdoor cat deterrent, which is motion-activated and emits high-pitched sounds that are unpleasant to cats.
