Instructions
Clean tears and rips thoroughly. If the rips create several ribbons of fabric, you may have to cut them out to create one hole that needs to be repaired.
Repair holes as soon as they occur. If it is a small hole, pull the fabric together and sew with thread that is the same color as the cloth. For larger tears, match a fabric swatch from your local fabric store to the cloth. Place the swatch under the hole and either sew it in or use fabric adhesive to keep it in.
Call the manufacturer of the the chair if you cannot find a fabric that matches. Many manufacturers can send you a piece of the same fabric your chair was made of. Sew or use adhesive to fix the hole with the manufacturer's cloth.
Buy slipcovers. If your chair is scratched up enough to where there is no repairing, purchase them or consult an upholstery professional. You can even upholster it yourself by measuring all pillows and the chair itself and sewing new cushions for your chair.
