What are kittens?

Kittens are young cats, typically from birth up to about six months of age. They are characterized by:

* Small size and weight: Kittens start out very tiny, often weighing less than a pound at birth. They grow quickly but remain relatively small compared to adult cats.

* Fluffy fur: Kittens have soft, downy fur that changes as they age.

* Playful and energetic: Kittens are naturally curious and playful, often spending their time exploring, chasing toys, and pouncing on anything that moves.

* Dependent on their mother: Kittens rely heavily on their mother for nourishment, warmth, and protection in the first few months of their lives.

* Developing skills: Kittens are constantly learning, from basic skills like using the litter box to more complex behaviors like hunting and grooming.

* Large eyes: Kittens have large, expressive eyes that give them an adorable appearance.

* Uncoordinated: Their movement can appear awkward and clumsy as they learn to navigate their surroundings.

Kittens are a joy to watch as they grow and develop, and they bring a lot of love and laughter into our lives.
