Here's a general rule of thumb:
* Below 50°F (10°C): English Bulldogs should wear a sweater or coat when outside.
* Below 40°F (4°C): Limited outdoor time is recommended, and they should be closely monitored for signs of shivering or discomfort.
* Below 32°F (0°C): Outdoor time should be kept to a minimum, ideally only for brief potty breaks.
Signs of cold in English Bulldogs:
* Shivering
* Whining
* Curling up in a ball
* Seeking out warmth
* Loss of energy
* Cold ears and nose
Important notes:
* Individual dogs vary: Some Bulldogs may be more sensitive to the cold than others.
* Humidity: Cold and humid conditions can be especially harsh.
* Wind chill: Wind can make temperatures feel much colder.
* Age and health: Puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with health conditions are more susceptible to cold.
