* Her contractions have stopped. When your dog is in labor, she will have regular contractions that gradually increase in intensity and frequency. Once the contractions have stopped, it means that she has delivered all of her puppies.
* Her abdomen has deflated. After her puppies are born, your dog's abdomen will deflate and her belly will feel softer.
* She is no longer nesting. Before she goes into labor, your dog may show signs of nesting, such as pacing, panting, and digging. Once she has delivered her puppies, she will stop nesting and will focus on caring for them.
* She is licking her puppies. After her puppies are born, your dog will lick them to clean them and stimulate their breathing. She may also lick them to encourage them to nurse.
* Her milk has come in. A few days after her puppies are born, your dog's milk will come in. This will be obvious because her mammary glands will become enlarged and firm.
If you are unsure whether or not your dog is done having her babies, you can always contact your veterinarian.
