What is perbred and hybrids?

Purebred animals are those that have been bred within the same breed for many generations. This means that they have a common ancestry and share many of the same physical and genetic characteristics. Purebred animals are often used for breeding purposes, as they are more likely to produce offspring with desired traits.

Hybrid animals are the offspring of two different breeds or species. This can be done intentionally, in order to combine the desired traits of both parents, or it can happen naturally, when two different species interbreed. Hybrid animals can have a variety of physical and genetic characteristics, depending on the breeds or species that they are descended from.

Examples of purebred animals:

* Thoroughbred horses

* Angus cattle

* Siamese cats

Examples of hybrid animals:

* Mules (the offspring of a donkey and a horse)

* Beefalos (the offspring of a bison and a domestic cow)

* Ligers (the offspring of a lion and a tiger)
