Does selective breeding guarantee all offspring will be superior quality?
Selective breeding does not guarantee that all offspring will be superior quality. While selective breeding can increase the likelihood of obtaining offspring with desired traits, it does not eliminate the influence of genetic variation and other factors that can affect an individual's phenotype. Some offspring may inherit less desirable traits or may be influenced by environmental factors that limit their expression of desired characteristics. Additionally, selective breeding is limited by the genetic diversity available within the population being bred.
