Why cloning is asexual?

Cloning is asexual because it involves creating a genetically identical copy of a parent organism without the involvement of sexual reproduction. Cloning bypasses the process of meiosis, which would normally combine the genetic material of two individuals, resulting in genetic diversity. Instead, cloning involves the transfer of genetic material from a single parent to a new organism, such as in the case of a somatic cell nuclear transfer, where the nucleus of a somatic cell is implanted into an enucleated egg cell, resulting in the development of an individual that is genetically identical to the parent organism.
