How to Fray the Bottom of Men's Jeans

Fraying on the bottom of jeans is the result of wear and tear. The friction on the hem line from washing, rubbing against shoes and cement weakens the threads in the weave and the cross threads begin to fall off, leaving the vertical white threads that make up fray. You can speed up this process by intentionally removing or distressing the hemline and removing the cross threads.
