Siberian Husky
-
Siberian Huskies are another breed of large dog. These have coats that come in a motley assortment of white, grays and black with either brown or blue eyes. Their gait and stance resemble a German shepherd, as do their pointed ears and snout. Siberian Huskies are dogs with a good temperament who have the same excellent endurance and willingness to work as the German shepherd. While these dogs are easy to maintain and make great pets, they have a very thick coat that requires regular brushing and may make them unsuitable for hotter climates.
Belgian Tervuren
-
Belgian Tervurens are medium-sized dogs that closely resemble long-haired German shepherds. Their coats are dark on top and lighter down towards their legs, with a variety of browns in between, which resembles a popular coat coloring on German shepherds. These dogs are intelligent and alert, making great watchdogs. They need daily exercise and require their coat to be brushed at least twice a week. In addition to being a good family dog, they are also useful working and herding dogs.
Shiloh Shepherd
-
Shiloh shepherds appear to be larger versions of German shepherds, and they certainly have a number of similar features. Males grow to weigh more than 100 pounds, while females top off at just under that mark. These intelligent and confident dogs are good guard and watchdogs, as well as natural herders and work dogs. They prefer an active lifestyle and enjoy being taken on walks, jogs and runs. They have a high learning ability and can be easily trained.
Kunming Dogs
-
Kunming dogs have black muzzles and backs with a coat consisting of colors that range from light brown to a deep red-brown color. They resemble German shepherds but stand taller and have shorter hair. This breed has been around since the early 1950s in response to China's need for military dogs. Kunming dogs are intelligent and enjoy strenuous activity and work. They require regular exercise and are easily trained thanks to being quick learners.

List of Different Breeds That Resemble German Shepherds
German shepherds are large dogs, popular in Europe and the United States for their numerous attributes. With their pointed ears, good temperament, intelligence and capacity for hard work, German shepherds are not only found as pets in the home, but also service dogs for herding, sport and guide use. Many other large breeds of dogs share features with the German shepherd and therefore closely resemble it.
