How to Introduce Water to a Lab

Retrievers are naturally inclined to enjoy swimming, but introduce your lab to water slowly, safely and comfortably. Labs who are dunked before they are prepared can become fearful of water. Letting your lab learn to swim at its own pace will build its confidence, nurture its instincts and build its trust in you.
