Instructions
Spend lots of time with your mastiff puppy. Puppies must feel comfortable with their owner and their surroundings before they are comfortable being left alone.
Feed your mastiff high quality food. Follow the directions with the food for serving sizes. Mastiff puppies eat a lot of food and grow in size rapidly.
Give your mastiff puppy a place where it can go to sleep or relax. Mastiff puppies require lots of sleep.
Allow your mastiff to socialize with other dogs. This is good for a dog's development. Be sure to watch closely and stop them if play becomes too rough.
Take your mastiff for slow walks daily. For the first 7 to 8 months, keep the walks on the short side.
How to Raise English Mastiff Puppies
Mastiff puppies are calm and easily adaptable. They are quick learners, but must be taught using proper methods. Like all dogs, they do not respond well to anger and aggression. As with any puppy, mastiffs require lots of attention and affection. Mastiff puppies do have specific needs and it is important to take these into consideration. Taking care of these needs can help to raise a healthy, happy mastiff dog.
