Breeds of Puppies That Are Born White

All puppies have two things in common when they are born: they are cute and cuddly. Many owners that have a dog expecting a litter for the first time do not realize they might have a batch of puppies that are born completely white -- even though the breed of dog they own may be famous for particular markings. This is completely normal because most puppies will develop their markings within months, weeks or even days. Many breeds of dogs are born with white fur and will remain white all their lives.

    Dalmatians

They are also associated with fire departments and fire stations, often servings as mascots. Between 10 and 12 percent of Dalmatian puppies are born deaf, according to Dog Breed Info Center.

    Red Heelers

    • Red heelers, also known as Blue heelers or Australian cattle dogs are famous for their herding skills. Many are participants in dog agility shows and are known for their intelligence and athleticism. Red heelers have Dalmatian ancestry, which is probably the reason they are born white.

    West Highland White Terriers
