First bred by Wally Cochran in 1988, Labradoodles have become a popular breed choice among pet owners. Cochran first bred the breed as a request for a hypo-allergenic guide.
Size

Labradoodles are bred in three different sizes. Standard Labradoodles are 23 to 26 inches tall, Medium are 18 to 21 inches, and Miniatures are 14 to 17 inches tall.
Temperment

The temperament of the Labradoodle is excellent for a family environment. They are sociable, and non-aggressive.
Coat

The coat of a labradoodle is bred through genetics. They have either a Fleece, loose spiral curled coat or a Wool Curl coat. Both coats are hypo-allergenic.

Labradoodles are intelligent and very trainable. This makes them well suited as guide dogs and for therapy and assistance dogs.
