Instructions

    • 1

Make sure the dog hasn't eaten for at least 1/2 hour, preferably an hour before you administer the dog DNA test. I'd also make sure the dog drinks some water too.

    • 2

Unwrap the dog DNA test kit and remove the swab. The swab from the dog DNA test kit will be used to collect epithelial cells from inside the dogs cheek.

    • 3

Gently rub the swab on the inside of the dogs mouth against the cheek. Picture using the swab as if you were brushing the dogs teeth except with the bristles pointed away from the teeth. This is the most important part of taking the dog DNA test, make sure you rub the inside of the cheek for at least 20 seconds.

    • 4

After you rub the swab from the dog DNA test kit immediately remove it from the dogs mouth and place it in the plastic bag from the dog dna test kit.

    • 5

Complete the information and contact form from the dog DNA test kit. Make sure the info is correct.

    • 6

Mail the completed dog DNA test kit back to the testing company. You should receive the results of the dog DNA test in about 2-3 weeks.
