How to Groom a Giant Show Schnauzer's Eyebrows

Giant schnauzers are large, energetic dogs with playful attitudes. They are intelligent and affectionate. A giant schnauzer that participates in dog shows requires a certain haircut, which is not required for a pet giant schnauzer. While a pet giant schnauzer might have a short haircut all over, a show giant schnauzer wears its hair short over most of the head, except for the eyebrows and the muzzle, which is long and pronounced in the breed. The eyebrows look like a complicated cut, but you can do it by following a simple method.

Instructions

    • 1

Comb the eyebrows forward over the eyes.

    • 2

Cut an upside-down "V" between the eyes so that the point of it is exactly between the eyes.

    • 3

Cut a right-side-up "V" between the eyes so that the point of it is where the point of the upside-down "V" is. The resulting shape should look somewhat like an hourglass.

    • 4

Comb the eyebrows forward again. Align the scissors so that they rest against the left cheekbone and cut the eyebrow on an angle, creating a sharp point where it rests on the muzzle. Repeat the cut on the right side.

    • 5

Tidy up the cut by trimming wherever the lines of the brows are not sharp.
