How to Get Rid of Brown Stuff Around a Dog's Eyes

Eye discharge is sometimes an indication that your dog has an eye infection. Some of the discharge is brown, bloody, yellow or green; it can be the consistency of mucous or water. A veterinarian should be contacted if the discharge is frequent and excessive, or if it's bloody green or yellow. A brown color could indicate the discharge is bloody. Also look at the tissue around the eye to see if it is red.

Monitor your dog to see when its eyes start to run. The pooch could have allergies. You can take him out during the evening when the allergies won't effect him as much and you can close windows.
