How to Groom My Vizsla at Home

Grooming the vizsla at home is not a difficult task. The vizsla is a large sporting group dog that originated in Hungary and was developed to be a pointing bird dog and retriever, and it has a very short coat that is a uniform rust color. If you follow the basics of grooming a short-haired breed of dog, such as the vizsla, no other special grooming will be required.

Instructions

    • 1

Brush your vizsla's coat out at least twice a week. This will keep the shedding to a minimum.

    • 2

Use a soft cloth on the coat once a month to add shine to the coat.

    • 3

Clip you vizsla's nails on a regular basis, usually once a week.

    • 4

Clean the ears. Use a cotton ball, but always make sure not to go down into the ear canal.
